WHAT IS IT?
Medicare Part D plans are privately offered voluntary prescription drug options. They pay for the cost of prescription medications, including brand-name and generic ones.
WHEN TO SELL IT?
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): Lasts seven months before, during, and after the birth month that the client turns 65
Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): October 15 to December 7
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP): January 1 to March 31
All Year-Round: Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) based on qualifying events or plan types
